This research that has been conducted entitled "The Use of Code-Switching By Teacher In Classroom Interaction At MAN 2 Model Medan" which is motivated by the fact there are differences in abilities between teachers and students using understanding English so make teacher adjust language gap code-switching occurs classroom interaction. Code-switching a communication people use two or more language. The methodology this study qualitative method where data collected researcher was triangulation observation, documentation interview teacher. results obtained three types used interaction, those tag switching, inter-sentential intra-sentential switching. Based on types, dominant most often code switching because talking about particular topic, quoting somebody else, showing empathy, interjection, repetition, expressing group identity, to clarify content. finding research, it can be concluded interaction as solution student.
